War Memorial Stadium History
Back in 1999, Keith Dover (PR Chairman -American Legion Department of AR), began extensive research into the History of War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, including the unearthing of historic photos found beneath the North end zone of the War Memorial Stadium facility. Dover obtained much of his research directly in an oral history interview of the late Gov. Sid McMath before he passed away, and is in the process of transcribing the interview.
Although Dover has been involved with public relations (both military and civilian) for many years, he is also a published writer and most recently served as a military historian and Commander of the 46th Military History Detachment (MHD) following the attack on the Pentagon on 9-11-01, where his work has been archived at the national level with the Department of Defense.
