Unit 3 Magnolia proudly introduces Nancy Followell as the Department President of The American Legion Auxiliary for the 2009-2010 term. She is qualified to be a member of the Auxiliary through the service of her father and her husband Elmer Followell as well as her own service as an Airborne Soldier in the United States Army.
Nancy has three daughters, one of whom served 8 years in the United States Army as a combat medic. Her son-in-law, Sgt David J . "Joe" Davis, who was also a combat medic in the Army, and was killed while deployed to lraq. Elmer has three children, two sons and a daughter. Together they have nine grandchildren.
She has been a member of Unit 3, Magnolia, Arkansas Unit, for almost six years. She is currently serving as the Unit President, having served the office of President. She has served on many committees in her Unit. She also has served as the District 11 First Vice President.
Nancy is active in other organizations as well, holding the position of La Femmes President for the 2008-2009 year. She is a Partner in the 8 et 40 and is Union County Salon's L'Archiviste. She is a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 6461, in Fountain Colorado.
Her Husband, Elmer, has served as the American Legion Post 3 Commander, in Magnolia for two years. He was the District Commander for District 11, and has served as the Southwest Area Vice Commander.
