The Veterans Day goal date found The Department of Arkansas ahead by more than seven percentage points. The Department's goal was 65% and we achieved 72.422%. The Department of Arkansas ranking is number 24. The Department has almost achieved the next goal, the Pearl Harbor Day; of 75% The Department is only 4,964 new or renewed members from 100%.

There's no reason why we can't achieve this goal by December 31. Several Posts have already indicated they have reached 100%. Please make use of the Post 1000 members, who can be transferred to your Post. Send a letter or email to Department Headquarters with your area zip codes for a list of area Post No.1000 members.
Enclosed are Certifications of Officers' forms for all Posts for the year 2009-2010. Due to HQ two weeks after election.

Each Post, District and Area must connect Ms. May Hooks, 501-612-7735, and give her leads to sell ads for 2010 Convention program. These ad sales help support the convention and other programs. Contact Ms. Hooks today.

The Department of Arkansas has received the Department 90th Anniversary coffee cups. Price is $5.00 each or bulk to Posts for $4.00 each.

It's High School Oratorical Scholarship Contest time, each Post has been mailed information on this year's program. Contact your high school speech teachers now. Each District should strive to get at least one student to enter the Oratorical Contest.
